Chat Log viewer

I was thinking of improving the overall interface... I want to add the
following functionality to the interface:

1. Selection of account
2. Selection of buddy
3. Sorting according to date, length, buddy, activity
4. Adding an activity graph (that shows your chat activity in a range of
time)
5. Maybe an interactive calender to select date from

Also, I would like to extend the functionality of bookmarks and easy
retrieval of bookmarked logs or sentences.

Additionally, I was thinking of adding an extract log feature that would
extract logs of chats that were made using another client or via web
browser and whose logs are stored on the particular account. For example, I
am a frequent user of google chat and sometimes chat using the web-client
in gmail and would like to extract my chat logs that are not availble in
Pidgin and store them for later retrieval.. Similar stuff can be
implemented for additional protocols..

I have attached a simple design I made sometime ago.. The bottom bar is
used to select the date and it shows the activity for the particular day..
(similar to gnome-activity-journal).
