Pidgin doesn't connect to MSN when starting the application

Hi

Pidgin doesn't connects when I start it, although it shows the green
connected icon (I dont see any of my connections, the list is empty),
only when I change my status to off line and then back to online it
connects shows the contacts list and works ok.
I hope I am not missing something. Couldn't find a reference to this
in FAQ or in mailing list.
I am using Pidgin 2.2.1 on Ubuntu Gusty. I only use MSN protocol with it.
