Feature request - Feature was in Gaim not in Pidgin

My gut reaction any time anyone says "this should be quick and easy" or
anything remotely similar to that is to respond: "then we'll wait for
you to do it."  I cannot count the number of times someone has said that
when in fact the issue is quite complex. 

In this case though, while we have, and will not have, an option to
return the protocol icon to the left of the buddy's alias or screenname,
you can display it on the right in recent versions of Pidgin.
