Pidgin and QIP (russian)

Why Pidgin always say "? ??? ?????? (There was an error receiving this
message.  Either you and 393841567 have different encodings selected,
or 393841567 has a buggy client.)" in conversation with QIP client in
spite of this client has selected UTF8 as default code page?

I try to find this problem in tickets, but without good result...
