Pidgin inserting newlines.

Hi,

I'm using Windows Live Messenger, latest version.

When talking to people who are using Pidgin I get a lot of newlines.

Basically, I have latest MS MSN, they have latest (stable) Pidgin.

When entering a conversation, the first message that is sent to me
from a Pidgin user will look like this:

Me: "Hi!"
Pidgin: "Hi! How are you?


"

Always three newlines, at the end of the very first message sent in a
conversation. After that, all is well and working fine.

Please do let me know what/if I can help troubleshoot this problem.
