disabling keyboard chirps

I recently upgraded to pidgin 2.2.2 and noticed some new behavior.
Within a message text field if I hit an invalid key (e.g. backspace or 
the left arrow when I am already at the left) a high pitched chirp is 
emitted. Does anyone know of a way to disable this chirp in 2.2.2? This 
did not exist in prior versions. I've not seen anything in the FAQ.
