Error while compiling Pidgin 2.4.0 with Cygwin

Hi

I was trying to compile pidgin2.4.0 using cygwin . While doing make -f
Makefile.mingw install ,
it gives an error

/home/D/pidgin-2.4.0/libpurple/buddyicon.c:154: undefined reference to
`__errno'

I had created the build environment using     '
http://gaim-extprefs.sf.net/winpidgin-build-fetcher.sh' .
Is there any workaround for this problem?
