[Question #43610]: Sound notifications stop working after a bit

Ken is still having a problem:
I double checked that and that was selected. I just did some more
testing and it looks like after half an hour pidgin stops making sounds.

**After doing some more checking, I can't play mp3s either. Perhaps it
is a sound driver issue?
