Pidgin losing icq buddies

Hello,
I just started using Pidgin with ICQ recently and I've noticed that I have
added the same buddies several times, and they keep disappearing. Certain
buddies do stay, but some tend to disappear. One thing to note is that I
have all my work buddies in a Peons group, however at one point I created a
(caps is the only difference) PEONS group. I have tried several times to
Remove the PEONS group, but that also continues to re-appear for some
reason. I am running the latest, 2.4.1. Any suggestions?
