Setting "now listening"?

Apologies for reposting this, but I didn't get any replies and I thought perhaps someone in the know had missed it...

Now that Pidgin has support for the relevant version of MSN to be able to show other people's "now listening" information, is there a way to set it for my own account as well?

I know I can put the information in my available or away message using the MusicTracker or MusicInfo plugins, which now works for MSN as well, but that is displayed differently to Windows Live Messenger users than the "official" way.

Is there a way to do that? Or to write a plugin to do that?
