pidgin suggestion

If you need a client that glorifies the differences between protocols,
try Miranda. In Miranda, even the scrollbars look different.

Perhaps the primary design goal of Pidgin is to hide the differences
between accounts.  If you want to glorify the differences between
accounts, you probably want a different IM client.
