Help to solve a problem with search of users

Hello, help to solve please a problem with search of users on login, a
name, surnames, etc. I Search for this function which day and all I can
not find it in any way... And it so is necessary... Studied FAQ, looked
on the Internet but so anything and has not found... Why this function
is in QIP, and in Pidgin it is not present??? I Can something is wrong I
do??? In advance thanks for the help!!!
