'Our Protocol is not supported by the server'

Hi there,

I recently inherited my mums linux PC (Ubuntu).
However, every time I try to sign on to Pigeon messenger I get a
message that says 'Our protocol is not supported by the server'.

I've tried downloading various packages etc and nothings worked. Being new to Linux, I think I need some help!

Anything you can suggest?
