No way to log into MSN

I am using Pidgin 2.5.4 and using Windows 2000.
I am able to log into Yahoo and AOL chat, but it
does not give me the option to log into MSN or 
Windows chat. Is there a reason for this in using
this version of Pidgin along with Windows 2000?
