can't add more buddies

I only have an AIM account and a MSN account, and Pidgin wont let me add buddies on either.
I'm not sure which version of Pidgin I have.

and the operating system would be Windows right?

When you reply, hit "reply all", so that the mail goes to the support list too.


You need to tell us the version of Pidgin installed, or make sure you have the latest one.
To check the version, go into "Help", and choose "About". You will obtain the version of Pidgin and libpurple from there.

Make sure you are using the latest one ie 2.5.8.

If you are not using the latest, please update by going to the pidgin site and downloading Pidgin 2.5.8
Check if this problem exists in the latest version, and let us know
