I have down loaded your program and followed all the steps to install the
program. I would like to add mxit as an account but it does not let me add
or give me mxit option in drop down list. Can you please advise.

Greetings,

If you haven't heard yet, we have developed (and open sourced) a plugin to
run MXit through the IM client called Pidgin. Pidgin is supported on both
Linux and Windows and already supports most of the big IMs out there like
MSN, google talk, ICQ, XMPP, AIM, QQ etc.

Adium is another IM client (like Pidgin) which uses the libPurple library,
but runs on the MAC OS. So we will also have a working "MXit PC Client" for
the MAC users soon.

If you would like to try it out, you will need to:
• Download and install the Pidgin program from: http://pidgin.im/
then restart the PC.
• Download and install the MXit Pidgin plugin from: http://devzone
mxit.com/libPurple/downloads/
• Start (or restart) Pidgin
• Then add your MXit account click on ACCOUNTS – MANAGE ACCOUNTS –
ADD:
o Protocol = MXit
o Username = Registered MXit number in international format
o Password = MXit Pin
o Local Alias = Username you would like to use on MXit
For mor information have a look here: http://devzone.mxit
