pidgin 2.6.3 misbehaves with chat rooms

I get disconnected from the chat room only but still stay connected to the server.
The protocol is AIM.

Which protocol (AIM/XMPP/MSN)  are you seeing this with?

Do you get disconnected from the server or just from the chat room?
