Pidgin minimizes fulscreen programs.

MY pidgin minimizes fullscreen programs whenever I recieve new messages as long as no conversation windows is open. this is majorly annoying when I'm playing games, since it happens that the program running crashes due to being minimized. I'm running Vista x64. any help would be appreciated.
