Hi.. Chat/Conference Issues

Hi,
 
I am using Pidgin and using my Yahoo Messenger ID...    It seems like whenever I am issued a chat/conference invite I cant see the messages sent by at least one person in the room, and sometimes more.  And usually at least one of them can't see mine. Is there a way to fix the problem?
