Pidgin does not ask for password again when I give a wrong one.

Dear Pidgin support team,

I have got a problem when I type the wrong password.
If I give the correct password and when I restart an account, Pidgin asks
for the password again.
But if I give a wrong password and when I restart the account, Pidgin does
not ask for the password again but connects automatically and just shows
"Unable to authenticate: Authentication Failure". Why does Pidgin NOT ask
for the password again when I give a wrong one?
