Can not receive messages in aim

Hi. Using latest version of pidgin. Vista 32, full updated. Never had a problem like this before.

I can log in to aim yahoo and msn just fine. Yahoo and msn have no problems whatsoever. 

However, with AIM, I am unable to receive IMs. From anyone, including myself. It will say "girlfriend is typing" and make her name green, but once she sends the text it is completely blank. This applies to everyone. I can send messages and I know they're receiving them(telephone)

What is causing this? I tried reinstalling, it didn't help.
