XMPP Connection

To whom It may concern,
                                           I have been using Pidgin now for
well over 3 years and have had very little problems until three days ago,
but now I have a issue with the XMPP Connection to my Gmail account, (Unable
to find alternative XMPP connection methods after failing to connect
directly). 
I am running  your latest version of Pidgin 2.6.4 with a XP professional
operating  system. Virus protection by Vipre.

The only thing I have change in the last 3 days is my wireless router but
things don't make sense as my Hotmail and yahoo accounts still operate
without any issues.
