Hide offline buddies is not working-- Ticket #5611

Another update.  I removed all of my IM accounts, then uninstalled and
reinstalled ver 2.6.5.  Doesn't help.  I have the exact same behaviour as
described in Ticket #5611 which claims to have been fixed but I still have
the issue.

Is there a way to completely uninstall ALL files related to Pidgin without
editing the registry so that a clean uninstall will really allow me to start
over?

I appreciate the help.
