@, brackets and so on

Hi

Im using a swiss keyboard layout, and its not possible to write any
character that is used with the keycombination ctrl + alt

for example ctrl alt 2 is "@" or ctrl alt 3 is #

none of these work

is there any solution to this problem? especially the @ is really annoying
