RFE: Escaping the search box by mouse

Hi!

In IRC channel (maybe other protocols too, didn't heck), when the focus is in the user list,
typing makes the search box appear.
Can the feature be added, that clicking into the messages area or the typing box (for own messages)
Makes the search box go away?
Currently is stays and that is counter intuitive: users click in to message typing area, but the focus
(text cursor) does not go there.

(I use Pidgin 2.7.3 on Win XP)
