I presume you don't mean functionality, but rather the ability to access 
the service.

Please provide a reference to a detailed technical specification of 
their client to server protocol, or code to implement it.  Also provide 
details of server addresses, etc.  The information in the specification 
needs to be in the public domain.

Note that Facebook IM can be accessed using an industry standard 
protocol, XMPP.
