Proxy for Gadu-Gadu

I use pidgin as a Gadu-Gadu client.
It works fine but I am not able to make it works with Proxy Server.
Is there any trick/hack/patch I can make it run ?
Regular Gadu-Gadu client works fine with that proxy.
