purple-url-handler and SIPE

Should something like

purple-url-handler "sip:user at somehost.com"

work?

Where pidgin is running and is compiled with D-Bus support and
sip:user at somehost.com is in your buddy list.

I get "No matching account found." back from purple-url-handle.

Could be that the format of the URL is wrong, but I couldn't find any
documentation, for how the URL should be formated, for any protocols
except AIM and XMPP.
