In that case, you are asking on the wrong mailing list! This mailing
list is for people having problems with Pidgin (or otherwise wanting to
find out information about Pidgin). It is a peer support list, which
means that it is where users help other users.
Could you explain why you thought this list was relevant to you? It
might be possible to the change the wording somewhere to avoid other
people thinking it has another purpose.

Emails are not formal business letters, whatever businesses may want.
RFC1855 says there should be an address here, but, in a world of spam,
that is no longer good advice, as archive address hiding may not work.
