Newbie needs to set-up new ICQ acct for SMS

Can anybody give me a step-by-step instruction on how to set myself up 
for sending SMS back and forth from my PC to ATT cellphones? I've 
downloaded and installed Pidgin, but I am unable to get anything out of 
the instructions or FAQ's. I have no idea what they are talking about. I 
thought I was 20 years computer literate, but I guess not. I have no 
interest in any other uses for Pidgin, just SMS to/from cellphones. Thanks!
