Putting your subject into Google and taking the first hit says that it 
means the same as in HTTP, i.e. Not Found.

Clearly not true in this case.  How would one know when it was true?

Emails are not formal business letters, whatever businesses may want.
RFC1855 says there should be an address here, but, in a world of spam,
that is no longer good advice, as archive address hiding may not work.
