Pidgin root certificate

     You will need to reissue the certificate, making sure that the CN 
(Common Name) field contains the actual name of the server (exactly as 
the clients enter it when connecting to the server).

     If the clients use multiple names for the same server, you _may_ be 
able to enter those alternative names in the certificate (depending on 
the issuer, and whether it supports Subject Alternative Names).
