A slight concern about Pidgin

So... after a while of not using Pidgin, apparently it had certificate issues with AIM. 

I deleted the old version of Pidgin from the computer and installed the new version. 

Something odd though... it remembered my login name on AIM. Why'd it do this?

Please respond ASAP.
