The Google Talk setting is just a shorthand for XMPP with setting 
typical of the Google service.  If the Snap Engage service doesn't use 
XMPP, does it use any protocol with a specification that is in the 
public domain?

  seems to suggest that SnapEngage will work over Google's XMPP 
interface, using Pidgin.
