Room Topic

Hello,

I'm new to using Pidgin.  We used exodus before Pidgin.  For some reason when I enter our main chatroom, it sets a room "Topic" and shows when I enter as:
7:05:01 AM) kmotley-Kim has set the subject to: ALRR

When my co-workers enter the chatroom, it just shows that they entered the room.

How can I get rid of this "Topic" that is somehow attached to this room for my login?
