Youtube link from pidgin leads to empty new window (Chrome)

Since few days ago, suddenly Pidgin's youtube link opens up new window of
Chrome. This new Chrome window is just empty app/default page.

What can I do to fix this? or does it require update in future?

I am using Windows 10
