Pidgin showing Adium status

I asked one who showed as "Status: Offline ... Status (Adium) Available" and he said, yes, was online and not invisible.  There are over 100 employees on Adium, and only 7 show up in Pidgin as Available.  There are some custom statii, but the vast majority are as described -- Offline but (Adium) Available.
