The pidgin window conversation is too big for my screen

Hi,

 

I´m having trouble with the pidgin window conversation. 

 

Every time I open a conversation the window is too big for my screen, therefore I have to manually minimize it in order to see the writing field.... is there a way I can see the conversation windows on a smaller size?
