#186: HTTP GET Proxy support
---------------------------+------------------------------------------------
Reporter: kriation | Owner:
Type: enhancement | Status: new
Priority: minor | Milestone:
Component: pidgin (gtk) | Version: 2.0
Resolution: | Keywords: HTTP, GET, CONNECT, proxy

Comment (by kriation):
TOC/TOC2/OSCAR (the ones that I feel the most pain with) but I can see
applications with MSNP and YMSG as well.
The reason that I believed that GET support (to the proxy) would solve an
inability to connect was the following:
If I use the client provided by AOL to connect, I'm successful (I have
packet data sniffed from the wire to show this). If I use the latest
pidgin client, I'm unsuccessful.
I could be entirely incorrect in my assumption that supporting HTTP GET
would solve this problem, but I'll double check and provide the sniffed
data if need be.
