 If the code was working correctly, no.  The color list would be the same
 from instance to instance, so long as the same theme was used.

 A patch to make the colors other than the chat list configurable by gtkrc
 would be accepted.  One for prefs.xml would not.  That being said, once it
 was gtkrc controled, a plugin such as the gtk rc plugin distributed with
 2.0.0 beta6 would all be able to control it.
