 Looks like, in xmpp at least, the UI and the core can't agree on what the
 chat name is. For example, the core thinks the name is
 devel at conference.pidgin.im, but the UI thinks the name is whatever's
 showing on the blist, so when we try to find the chat to raise, we could
 never find it.
