 I will state, again, that while Synergy appears to exasperate the problem,
 that I believe that Pidgin is also at fault, at least to some degree.

 Without logging into MSN, it almost NEVER happens ... logging into MSNchat
 makes it happen rapidly.  The mention of Jabber may be the other reason,
 since I do also log into jabber servers, but rarely use them, so perhaps
 that is the cause of the other few crashes.

 But again, Gaim never locked up/crashed.  So some change in the code
 between Gaim and Pidgin, started the crashing.

 It would be nice at least if this ticket could get assigned to a
 developer, to at least take a look at it, and the crash report that I
 posted, to see if there is anything 'simple' that could be done to work
 around the issue.

 On that note, I now see that v2.1.0 is out, Installing it to see if it
 makes a difference at all.
