Vista Home Premium 32-bit:
This is not a reproducible phenomenon, but I've had it happen to me twice
in the past two days. The first time, memory usage for Pidgin shot up to
500 MB when I opened a user's log file (the next time I tried to reproduce
the bug, memory usage stayed at around 15 MB). The second time, I was
searching through another user's log when I clicked on one of the entries,
and the same memory spike occurred again (around 450 MB this time). During
both these times, hard disk usage was maximized, and it would seem like
the entire system froze. I had to use Task manager to kill the second one
(the first case stopped hogging more memory after it hit 500 MB). This
defect is not in previous versions of Pidgin.
