 Hi,

 Just to follow up.  For some reason, I no longer have a reproducer of this
 bug.  Things seem to be working as expected again.  About the only change
 I made was a server upgrade to Openfire 3.4.1, so perhaps some sort of
 transient interaction is no longer happening?
