 grim and I already contacted Matt Perry many months ago, prior to the
 renaming to Pidgin.  I have very slowly been working on the rewrite.  My
 idea initially was to move away from a custom-written preference storage
 system and instead leverage libpurple's existing API better, but I later
 realized it would be smarter to make Smart Ear into multiple plugins to
 make it compatible with Finch and any other libpurple UI wishing to use
 it.  Input and any help is welcome; I can be contacted via e-mail at
