Comment:

 Which protocol is this on?  On most protocols, if you block a user, you
 cannot see the user's status, therefore if you block all users, you can't
 see any user's status.

 The purpose of "block" is NOT to hide from others, but to prevent them
 from messaging you ''and'' to prevent them from seeing your status,
 therefore your argument is fundamentally flawed, as well.
