Comment:

 It is crashing in the windows socket library, which makes me very
 suspicious that Trickster may be replacing or otherwise interfering with
 the built-in windows sockets functionality.

 It is also possible that Trickster is a red herring, and that something
 else (e.g. a firewall, "internet accelerator" or even a trojan) has
 modified the core windows sockets functionality in a way that is causing
 this.  There have been a few occurrences of this (e.g. #1059, #653).
