 I am having this same problem, too. One day I had two e-mails in my Yahoo!
 inbox and Pidgin succesfully notified me about those two, so I deleted
 them from my inbox and cleared the trash. The next day when I logged in to
 Pidgin for the first time, it notified me that I had two new e-mails in my
 Yahoo! inbox, but when I went to go find them, there were not there at
 all. Every time I have logged in since then (which has been 1-2 weeks) I
 have been notified that I have two new Yahoo! e-mails, but they are not
 really there.
