 I'm using 2.0.2 on Windows XP. I had a working AIM connection last week,
 although it would occasionally disconnect and reconnect. Now, whenever I
 try to log in, I get "Server closed the connection", and after a while it
 changes to the message below. My other accounts (Yahoo, Sametime) work
 fine. I double-checked that the server (oscar.login.aol.com) and port
 (5190), as well as my username and password, are correct. There is no
 proxy configured. I also confirmed that AIM works fine when using the
 actual AIM client on this same machine.


 <my user name> (AIM) disconnected

 You have been connecting and disconnecting too frequently. Wait ten
 minutes and try again. If you continue to try, you will need to wait even
 longer.

 Pidgin will not attempt to reconnect the account until you correct the
 error and re-enable the account.
