 Just tried the "direct-connection" with another Pidgin user, over the ICQ-
 protocol.
 First he didn't get the connection (that seems to be logical, we were both
 behind routers) and after the try with the proxy, the connection was
 etablished.
 (By the way: Which proxy is used? A direct connection through the ICQ-
 servers...? I think, that sounds be a little bit paradox :D)

 After some IMs, he asked me, why I am sending blank messages. That
 happened everytime, I typed an ß,Ö,Ä, or Ü .
 He tried to type some of these characters, too, an I got blank messages,
 too.
